Early this year, I had been added to a group of filipino UK nurse influencers by Manong George, the founder of Filipino UK nurses blog. Such a great joy to have found a community who have like-minded members of our society whom I can share my passion and ideas with. During the lockdown, I felt the sense of belongingness talking to these people. One of them even offered to create my icon. His name is Rogie Delos Santos. He asked me how I would describe myself and my blog. I gave him the details and he sent me a proposal the next day! His first proposal captured my heart immediately!

My name is Melissa which in Greek means honeybee, thus the author name “Honeybee” on this website. Aside from the obvious fact that honeybees love collecting honey and are hard workers, (which, *ahem*- I am-LOL!) I told him that I would describe myself as bold, adventurous and a reflective learner. My blog is about my travel journeys and my reflections of my perspectives in life living abroad. I love sharing my realisations and respectfully give my opinions about certain topics concerning my profession and life in general, and my aim is to inspire, especially the younger filipinos nurses, to be more positive in both personal and professional life.

You might have already noticed, but it is amazing how he thought of making the bee from the location pin or map mark! The wings of the bee is the distance line seen on our digital maps – perfect for a wanderlust honeybee! If you remove the wings white marks on the location pin, it would look like this…

This symbol represents my reflective and opinionated side. Yes peeps, I have opinions, and I don’t give a single care if you don’t like them. Joke! I love to hear people’s comments and thoughts, so if you do have some for me, do not be afraid to share them with me please. Afterall, I am just a honeybee. 😂 LOL! Just do not forget…
“If you want some honey, do not kick over the beehive.”
Dale Carnegie
Meh.. well, who wants some honey? :p
So there you go – a brief summary of my cute logo! If you want a logo like this, I suggest you go ask my friend here Rogie! Highly recommended mate!! (Many thanks again! xx)
The next time you see this logo, hun, it’s not a logo for a gin or whisky it’s my logo, and it’s a honeybee! 😀
